About the Author

Andrei Straumanis holds a B.A. from Oberlin College, and a Ph.D. from Stanford University.

He is a co-founder of the POGIL Project, and currently ARSclass4emailserves as Executive Editor for the Project. He has taught at various institutions including, most recently, the Univ. of Washington in Seattle.

Since 1998, he has given over 100 talks and workshops on active learning and the use of the POGIL teaching method.
